Privacy note

Privacy, on a demo site.

Effective September 2026

Marenfold is a fictional studio, and this is a sample website built by Loomwest to show what a portfolio site with booking and quote requests can do. This note explains what happens to anything you type or click here: in short, nothing leaves your browser.

What the forms collect

The booking form asks for a session, a date, a time window, your name, your email and, optionally, a phone number, an event location and a note. The quote form asks for a project type, deliverables, a description, a budget range, a timeline, an optional reference link and your contact details.

On this demo, none of it is sent anywhere. The forms have no mail script and no third-party form service behind them. When you press the final button the page checks your answers, shows a confirmation that says it is a demo, and forgets everything when you leave or start over. Nothing is written to cookies or to your browser's storage.

What the site itself uses

The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see your IP address when the page loads, as they do on any site that uses them. The web host that serves these files keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, time, the file requested) for security, as every host does. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.

The map in the studio section uses two more services, and only when you scroll to it: OpenStreetMap (the map tiles load from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address; no cookies are set) and cdnjs by Cloudflare (serves the map's code).

On a live studio site

If this were a real studio's site, the same forms would send your answers to the studio's inbox or booking calendar, and this note would say exactly who receives them, what they are used for (answering your request, and nothing else), how long they are kept, and how to ask for a copy or for deletion under California law (CalOPPA and the CCPA). A real site would never sell or share them for marketing.

Questions

This demo was built by Loomwest. The phone number shown on it, (408) 555-0162, is a reserved 555 number that does not connect. For anything about this site, contact Loomwest through loomwest.com.

Sample site: this is a made-up number for a fictional business, so tapping it doesn’t place a call.
